Perla was born and raised in Paris, France and has been co- director of Chabad of Niagara since 2005 where her and her husband Zalman serve the community.

Currently pursuing a PHD at Brock University with a research focus on academic competition. She is a wife, community leader and mother to six children. Five in her arms and one up in heaven.
